Who I Am

My name is Ng Wei Shyang and I am a Homo sapiens who born and live in Selangor, Malaysia. People call me Tony, and you can call me Tony too. If anyone tell you that I am gaara or gaara4896, they confuse username with name.

I am a programmer by profession. I’m studying computer science in Sunway University and I am also a part of Sunway Tech Club. My focuses are backend, Android and game development. Project that I involved with can be found in portfolio or Github.

From times to times, I lead workshop that host by Sunway Tech Club. Some of the workshop that I had lead before are Android Workshop and PyGame workshop. I am also helping out in a lot of other workshop, which include WebLaunch 2018 and Git & Github Workshop.

Philosophy

I love philosophy. I am interested in different category of philosophy; from general philosophy, political philosophy, ethics to philosophy of life. However, I am not a practitioner of any branch of philosophy, at least not yet.

Despite I am not a practitioner of specific branch of philosophy, I am a practitioner of my own philosophy. I take what I think right from any branch of philosophy and denied otherwise. For instance, I agree with utilitarianism in making decision based on greatest good to greatest amount of people, but I disagree with looking people at collective way and seeing them as just a container of happiness. I agree with stoicism in embracing suffering as part of life; not for the reason of easier in attaining pleasure; but for the reason as a chance of achieving greater version of ourself.

Hobby

I have a tons of hobby.

First, I love books! Reading books provide me tons of knowledge. It helps me in develop myself and also looking at things in different perspective. Some of my favourite books are 1984 by George Orwel, The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham, Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche, The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason and a lot more.

I also love anime! I watch anime since 2007 (10 years old at that time). My first anime is Bleach. It is my favourite anime back then, and it is still one of my favourite anime now. I watch most genre of anime. If I have to name my top 5 anime, that would be Fullmetal Alchemist, Psycho Pass, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Steins;Gate and Fate Stay Night (Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven’s Feel).

Besides, I also love playing games! However, I would not call myself a gamer because I do not play much game. The game that I had play before are Doki Doki Literature Club, Nier Automata and Fate Stay Night. I also looking forward to play Dies Irae, Persona and Danganronpa.

Aside from that, I also love cars, music and coffee. My favourite car brand is always Mercedes Benz and my favourite music artist is Aimer. Not only that, I am also learning graphics design and 2d drawing.
